In the third quarter of 2025, the travel and local app category saw varied performance on the Android platform in New Zealand. Here's a closer look at the top five apps as reported by Sensor Tower.

Flightradar24 Flight Tracker experienced a notable rise in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $1.6K in mid-September. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, hovering around 900 to 1,000, while active users showed a positive trend, increasing from about 15K to over 21K by the end of the quarter.

Wanderlog - Trip Planner App saw a peak in weekly revenue in late August at around $219. Downloads remained consistent, mostly between 150 and 200, and active users showed minor fluctuations, maintaining an average of 1.5K.

Roady demonstrated growth in both revenue and downloads. Revenue peaked at about $188 in early September, while downloads reached a high of 339 in mid-August.

Find my Phone - Family Locator experienced a significant increase in both revenue and downloads. Revenue hit a high of $207 in mid-September, with downloads also peaking at 368 during the same period. Active users increased steadily, reaching 326 by mid-September.

Couchsurfing Travel App maintained steady revenue and downloads throughout the quarter, with revenue fluctuating around $20 to $30 and downloads remaining low, peaking at 16 in early August.
